Some people perceive the world more intensely. Some think, communicate or feel emotions differently. Muôn màu gives space to stories that often remain invisible.

A thousand colours. A thousand emotions.
Muôn màu, “a thousand colours”, opens up the topic of mental health and neurodivergence in the Vietnamese community in Czechia. Through personal stories, art and community gatherings we help break the stigma around mental health problems and create space for sharing.
More about the project and team![]()
“We want to show how differently people can experience the world, and that despite our differences we can understand and enrich each other.”
art and gatherings
Through creating, we look for ways to express our emotions and experiences, to understand each other better and to feel that we are not alone.
The workshop offers a safe space for creating, self-discovery and sharing. With colours and painting we capture emotions and experiences that are sometimes hard to put into words.
The creative process is guided by Veronika Ngo, painter, teacher and author of the book Slyším, že se liším, and Vo Tu Anh, facilitator of TAMly events.

what the project will create
The experiences of people from the community become paintings, illustrations and texts. Art can bridge language, cultural and generational barriers where expert language falls short.
exhibition
It will openly show the experiences of people from the Vietnamese community in Czechia, with an accompanying programme and a guided tour. The works can then travel on to cafés, community centres and schools.
brochure
Personal stories, illustrations and clear expert explanations in one place. Printed and free to download, so that it reaches parents too.
paintings
Created from real stories and experiences of people from the community, during workshops and creating together.
gatherings
Art workshops for 8–10 people and peer-to-peer groups for 6–10 people. We share safely, without judgement and only as much as you want.
We also think of “minorities within a minority”: people who, besides cultural difference, live with neurodevelopmental or mental health difficulties that others often wrongly see as failure or lack of effort.
project timeline
The project culminates in April 2027 with the exhibition opening and the brochure launch. Dates may still change.
We create, share and talk openly about mental health, without labels.
More sessions in Prague and Brno.
We are looking for people who want to share their experience. You decide how and how much.
Stories, illustrations and clear expert texts come together in a bilingual brochure.
The public sees the community’s paintings and stories for the first time.
The brochure stays free to download and the exhibition can travel on.

How sharing worksLet us know about you, we will get back to you shortly and agree on the next steps.
Together we set boundaries. We agree on what you want to share, in what form, and whether you want to appear publicly or anonymously.
Depending on how you take part, this may be an interview, filming, a workshop, artwork or another kind of collaboration.
With your consent, the stories will be turned into art and become part of the brochure and the exhibition. We are preparing both now.
Taking part is voluntary and non-binding. You decide what you want to share and where your boundaries are.
A few sentences are enough: how you would like to take part and what drew you to Muôn màu. We will get back to you and agree on the next step.
With the form you can send your story fully anonymously, without your name or e-mail. You don’t need to write anything about your health or diagnosis in your first message. We will never publish anything without your explicit consent.
No. The project is not only for people with a diagnosis. We are interested in a diversity of experiences and open dialogue.
No. You set your own boundaries. Sharing can be public, anonymous, or remain only part of the shared process.
Come to a workshop or community gathering, get to know the project, join in the creative work or share your story with us. Taking part is voluntary and non-binding.
No. The workshops are not about the result but about the process itself. All you need is the wish to come and try.
Nothing – the workshops are free. Just register in advance. Places are limited to 8–10 people, so there is room for everyone.
Because not everything can be put into words. Colour, an image or creating can be another way to capture your own experience.
Come with an open mind. Get to know other people’s stories. Or let us get to know yours.
